This quality gift item is the Hawaiian version of the standard Japanese Hanafuda card deck. The designs were created by Ken Kudo and meticulously fine lined redrawn by professional artist Robert Place. Extreme care was given to create similar line thickness, color, and style to the hanafuda deck. Thus, the cards are similar in appearance and feel. They even respond with the same bounce and sound as the hanafuda deck when the cards are thrown down and "slapped" on the table (a "must" for veteran hanafuda players). The designs are uniquely Hawaiian and one of a kind.
